This is Bethany and I at a fall party our small group hosted recently. I was a spin off of 'three-hole-punch Jim' (three-hole-punch Rachel) and Bethany was Michael Scott =] She even has the 'World's Best Boss' mug. So great!

For serious. I always think about Linnea's story and how at Christmas a random lady in line turned around and gave her 10 bucks. And when Linnea was like 'huh?!?' the lady said something about it's Christmas! How great is that? Amazing!
Anyways, I think people need to be more like that year roun, including myself.
We all are so suspicious these days (with some good cause) but I think it makes us sour and secluded.
Not so cool.
Love ya guys!
Peace (on earth and good will towards men)

Migranes and Flu Vaccines

This is Emma and me. Our VANS =] Mine are the aqua pair with hippos and Emma's are the rockin' purple flowered embroidered pair.
I am sitting on Emma. Aren't those THE coolest shoes ever?!?! I got them -considers- two years ago. Green and orange. They are faded now, but I still love them. They are my favorite shoes to date and the brand is 'WANTED' how flippin' sweet is that? (and yes, I did just quote Napoleon Dynamite. I know, old school) If you look at my hand at the top of the pic you can just see a little glimpse of my MAN-watch. Ha ha. Maybe if you're luc...providential I will post a pic of my MAN-watch.

These are two pictures from Harvey Cedars (the retreat us young peoples went on this past weekend) It was really quite an amazing time. The speaker was Mark Davis from Dallas, Texas. He said Dallas is probably the richest area codes in the U.S.A, but also one of the poorest (spiritually speaking).
I think this is relatively true about many places, but maybe on a smaller scale. Salisbury for instants, it's fairly well off being so close to the ocean and all and a rapidly growing city, but for as many churches as we have I rarely meet a Christian. Now this could be because we all are afraid to speak up about are religion, but that's not exactly a good thing either.
Hmm, I think I am rambling. Moving on..

I am sitting here sipping my chamomile tea with fresh ginger. It's very good, it is soothing my throat which (of late) has been giving me signs that I am going to be sick very soon. This whole weekend my parents and me have been very dull and lethargic, we suspect our flu shots which we received Friday might be the cause. Ugh. I really cannot get sick right now.
It doesn't fit into my schedule. Too much school.
Right now I am avoiding writing a paper for my English 101. It is a comparison/contrast essay. I am guessing I have to take the boring classes before I can move onto the more interesting ones. Oh well, at least I have met some very unique people =]
